    I think you don't need to that in BMW. But have you already see in CIP if you have a option to inform the DPF replacement?

    Turn off the engine, the ECU will be automatically reset after outage.

     Normally the DPF Resetting should be in CBS Condition Based Service Resets.........if you have replaced the DPF than you will need to tell the ECU so it will reset the mileage in ECU for new DPF.........Or, you can also do that manually using your i-Drive.............
